Do androids dream of electric sheep?

Just something I thought of when my buddy gave me Kikaider 02 to read... Loosely based on the Kikaider manga idea and style. Title also stolen from a Kikaider episode.

Edit: But it's NOT Kikaider fanart, hence why the android says "VII" or "7" on its head, shoulder, and chest. Also, not manga. :P

Croquil pen with acrylic ink, micron .005, and photoshop for the background tone.

This is my signature.
I really love that you chose not to add a black border to this, and just let it kind of ooze off the frame into the white space. It really works for this. I also like the minimal toning and black bits. Most of your stuff is heavy on the darkness, and this is a nice contrast to it. Not that I don't like big black bits-in fact, I prefer them-just saying it's a surprisingly pleasant change. The android gets a tad lost in the scene though... I think it's because the thickness of his lines are the same as everything else, and the wires and junk on his insides are so plentiful that it kind of gets grey. That last part works for it a bit though, since it makes the large plates more noticeable and important. I love that he's mostly destroyed, it just further adds to the mood of the piece and kind of... makes me feel sorry for him.
He was kind of meant to get lost in the bark and everything else... I wanted to show him being overgrown by "naturalistic" things... I considered very heavily adding calligraphic lines and darkening it before I scanned it, but I figured that would have lost all of the "double take" effect I was looking for.
