Merkaba Brushes by azraelengel Merkaba Brushes by azraelengel
Clearly titled after Tool's "Merkaba," here's my next set of brushes.

Fourteen airbrush and ink produced brushes. They will probably work really well for bloodwork and with most of my other brush sets.

File zipped.

Edit: I've had people saying that the file is "not found," so I reuploaded it. Unfortunately, this also means that the file is not usable in any other version of photoshop than 8.0 or higher. Please do not complain about this, it is out of my control.

Enjoy.

And lastly, remember to show me any pieces you make with them.

It should be. If not, it's not by any fault of mine. Try retrieving it off of my website, [link] Under brushes.

Now that I have a new modem, I can download em. I tried em and my reaction is this :faint:

Whoa...I gotta do something with this, something gruesome...something evill...heheh, it's gonna take a lot of brain-juice. You're gonna have to wait for my use of those awesome brushes...

What ever would you need an intuos for? If the creator uses a mouse, would the downloaders need a tablet?

For me, using a mouse is like drawing with a bar of soap. haha! I have not the finesse... (and I should like to add my own details to my pics, ya know)

This is the second time i downloaded the file, and the second time Photoshop 7 has told me the beushset is incompatible 2with my version of Photoshop. If this brushset is supposed to be usable in PS7 as the description would imply, i thought you might want to know that it doesn't.

Well, the brushes are made in Photoshop CS otherwise known as Photoshop 8, so maybe they don't work in PSD 7. They work fine in CS on this end.

i see. well the edit said for all the unfortunate users under version 7. so i assumed they were for PS 7. but no adobe components created in newer versions will work in older versions. just adobe's way of making sure they make you pay too much money for their programs yet again. but if you are making brushes, you might want to consider that brushes created in older versions of PS will work in newer versions of the program, while brushes created in newer versions will not work in older versions. so in making brushes for a version of the program most people do not have unless they have a load of money to throw around flagrantly or they obtain their software illegally via filesharing programs, then you are probably excluding a majority of the community. just a thought.

Thing is, if I had an older version of PSD to make the brushes in, I'd certainly do it that way. However, I don't.

I figured that could be a issue. No problem, i used your PSD file to create the brushes. Quick question if you don't minfd though. You mentioned making them into vector. Exactly how would you achieve that. I've been wanting to figure out how to create vector images from normal images, for the sake of resolution. So, is there an easy way to convert normal images to vector images and save detail etc?

You can do it in illustrator somehow, but I haven't quite dived into illustrator yet to find out how.

well, illustrator is completely vector-based. and it's very easy to convert text created from fonts into vector art as you just use the create outlines option. but i have yet to figure out how to do the same thing to something that was not created in illustrator.

I'm sure you can import it somehow.

I'll tell you if I ever figure it out.
