Artist's Comments

Here are some chain brushes.

They are made by hand in photoshop. This zip file includes high contrast and low contrast chains, as well as chain silhouettes you may have seen in my pictures. For example, Portex ah Pamo is one. There are also single chain links, and enough of them to make a full three-hundred and sixty degree turn with them. These are mostly two-dimensional chains, but you should be able to figure out how to make them look three dimensional yourself.

These brushes only work in photoshop 8/CS or higher.

If you use them, all I ask is that you credit my brushes (So others can also get the brushes if they so wish) and show me the picture so I can comment on it.

Also, please do not comment on the picture, comment on the brushes.

I wish...

I love how you drew those wings, Az. That's amazing. The colours are beautiful and the texture and just...the span and...featheryness.:heart:

(Yah I definately commented on the picture...but it needed it okay? I guess if you want a brush comment...)

As I said, I really wish I could get those, but I don't think my photoshop is good enough. I love the lighting effects on them and I wish I could do that by hand...you don't have a tablet even, do you? I love how you made some dark and some light and the effect created when you overlayed them on Azrael. The bluish and reddish colours look great underneath the lighter chains. I would use these so much. ; ;

Damn. Now I know I really have to get CS re-installed, since I would really like to try out some of those chains.
Are they all facing only vertical and horizontal as shown in the picture? Because I think it would also be interesting if you made chains going in other directions as well.

Then again, seeing as I can't draw chains worth a damn and you did these by hand I'm not going to complain. I'm pleased as it is that you've made some brushes for it instead.

Danke-danke. Can't wait to try these suckers out.

No, they are also going diagonal and any other direction. "There are enough chains here to make a three-hundred and sixty degree circle."

But also people could not be lazy and rotate them themselves.
